Offers for figures where always one step ahead of the actual figure in question and had been since day one. The boba Fett offer first appeared on the SW 20C card. So where is the Yak Face offer??? No card has ever surface with a Yak Face offer printed or sticker applied.

I have never seen any pre production design of a Yak Face offer, but of course there is the full pre-production run of POTF proof cards including Yak Face himself, yet none with an offer? The Yak Face proof card comes after the offer stage which suggests that there was no offer. Has there ever been any sticker rolls seen or found? Again not to my knowledge. There is of course the ultra rare Yak Face baggie figures, which could suggest they where for a mail-in offer but are actual more than likely Kenner sign off samples.

So if there was never a mail-in offer intended for Yak Face, why was he never released in the U. The figures where produced and distibuted, just not to the U.

Great question Alex! It will be interesting to see whether someone can provide any hard evidence to support the 'mail away' theory. Not sure if this helps any. Thanks for posting that Clint. It certainly is another talking point about wether YakmFace was even available in Canadian stores. I have heard some say never and others say for a very limited time?

The plot thickens! It's not very strange Yak Face turns up quite frequently on card bad or worse. Many came to in the hands of scalpers at the end of the sale. So, no wonder they surface so much. Oke, it's rarer then most figures I'm talking about the Tri-logo version because he was made at the end of the line, but I don't believe Yak Face is as rare as people believe him to be. He said he had more, but sold the rest.

When I saw all the stuff he bought his vader probably supporting him when all the Star Wars toys where being kicked out of the toyshop, my jaw dropped. So, even though I never saw Yak Face in the store because I didn't have that "thing" with him and I was 8 when the star wars toys went away I don't think he's mega-rare on Tri-logo, POTF is an another thing, but I don't live in Canada came close I never really understood the hole Yak Face-hype.

Oke, it's a hard to find last 17 figure, but it's also the least appealing. I'll pay more money for a c9 Tri amanaman with near perfect bubble than for a c9 Tri Yak Face! From The Low Lands ].

In fact to tell you all the truth I never even heard of YakFace until I started collecting vintage 9 years ago. On the opposite end of this topic the most popular figure I ever saw was Chief Chirpa. I'm sure my mum Mom bought me 2 just to shut me up.

I was able to free it loose. There's was also a couple versions of the RF boba and only a few people have gotten them. It's just like you guys and the webbed aquaman figure or the Secret idenities. Us star wars crazies enjoy the odd figures.

There will always be the foreign releases carded and uncarded I was lucky enough to buy all of the figures as I grew up and never worried about having to shell out mega bucks for the rare ones. A close friend had an original one and it was a great design. This blog is constantly under construction. There will be more rare items listed during the next couple of weeks. The rocket Fett was definitely never send out by Kenner to any customer.

With her family, they definitely got hit with that stick. Isn't he pretty rare? I know he was sold in the US but only one year from one place. I had one of the mail away Boba Fetts. The rockey did not fire but it was glued into the backpack and could be removed. I remember pealing the sticker off the back of the cards that covered up the rocket firing ad with a non-rocket fireing one!

I remember trying to find a Yak Face, don't think I ever did. It's gone now, no point going in the mall anymore. Depends on the definition of "rare". But Blue Snag is quite common and easy to find.
