Aside from those two technical glitches the apartment is superb because it is a 3 minute walk from the absolute dead center epicenter of all of this capital City Montevideo which is plaza La independencia.

So everything is right there at your fingertips. Further it is not just a hotel room it is a complete apartment living room bedroom kitchen and bathroom plus a lovely balcony. This is excellent value for money and at the same time it is extremely quiet despite the fact it is in the epicenter of everything.

Each room is decorated in honor of a famous Uruguayan. This is a great base for walking to sights, restaurants and shops in this central part of Montevideo. The breakfasts are very good and the staff are helpful. The breakfast is very sufficient and has local types of food. The location is very good because it is close to the main road called La Rambla and from there you can walk to center city or somewhere else.

There is no gym, but you can go for a run on the Rambla which is basically what several people in Montevideo do. Great place to stay in Montevideo! It is a dormitory room with the hotel room standard cleaning service, door with card access etc.

You can also rent a bike here. The location is great - near the historical center. Very helpful staff! Fabulous surroundings, fabulous room, exquisite cuisine from breakfast lunch and dinner, mark and Carolina could not do more to make you feel at home excellent care always willing to help and make your stay a fabulous experience. Best boutique hotel in Montevideo if not the whole of uruguay. A very acceptable, well furnished hotel, with very attentive staff. Clean, with access to major shopping center.

This is, apparently, a new hotel in Montevideo so everything is new! The location is great and the rooms have a modern touch to it! We love El Centro in Montevideo. Hotel America is on Rio Negro, very near all that we love. And the staff is charming. Hotel is right across from the famous Montevideo sign and Pocitos beach! The staff was great and I want to make a special note on how dedicated Natalia was to help me retrieve something that I forgot at the hotel. She went far and beyond.
